“Fusion” Welcome Dinners

Not fusion food though, but the guests themselves.

We are lucky that we have a restaurant where we can hold dinners for our guests.

During the summer months, we hold Saturday evening welcome dinners since Saturday is the day when most people arrive.

The dinners start poolside with an aperitif and then the sit down dinner begins.

We try to have 2 large tables, one for the children and one for the adults. Even though the children may not all speak the same language, their table is very active with hand gentures, games and every once in a while, a quick game of soccer (the international language of children!).

The adults though try to find a common language and the conversations are very informative as some people have been here before so they give helpful advice, others talk about their home countries or other countries they have visited, some talk about food, some about sports (yes, the international language for adults too!).

What is great about these dinners and that friendships are formed and we see during the week the children playing together, families or couples going out to dinner or touring together or just sitting by the pool together.

Many of these friendships, that start out over a Tuscan meal overlooking the vineyards, turn into strong friendships after their vacation is over.  Some of our guests have told us that when they get back home, they stay  in contact and even go visit one another in their home countries!

This is proof that integration here at Fattoria di Corsignano is well and that you, as a guest can look forward to not only enjoying the Tuscan countryside but also the company of the other guests.
